Here are a couple of small examples of what you'll find:
"Up The Creek Without a Paddle"
My fifth grade math teacher used to say this all the time. To him, being up the creek without a paddle pretty much
meant, “you’re screwed.” To my little ten-year-old mind it never made sense. The only creek I had to reference
was the small creek behind my neighbor’s house. “It’s just a creek.” I thought. “You don’t need a paddle. You really
don’t even need a boat. Get out and walk.”
The truth is, even in life’s largest creek, you don’t need a paddle. You just need to let go.
When you're up the creek without a paddle, its easy to think you’re stuck or at the mercy of the raging currents of
life. It’s a metaphor for being stranded with no way of directing your path. The truth is, within the currents of life,
your energy is the only paddle you need. If you choose to feel stuck and alone, you will be stuck and alone. But, if
you chose to acknowledge the flow, and either give over to it – letting the current take you where it may – or know
that we are home no matter where you are – even in that little boat, you will be just fine.
The feeling of being stuck is just resistance to the flow. Instead of trying to get back up stream to where you’ve
always been, let go and enjoy the ride. Choose the vibration of love, and your boat will flow exactly where it’s
supposed to every time. Just be willing to let go of where you think your destination is. In giving over, you just may
find that the quickest way in life to get to where you truly want to go, is by throwing away the paddle… and
remember, it’s only a creek.
“Look Before You Leap.”
Can’t you just feel the fear?
“What if it’s too steep?” “I’ve got to be sure!”“What if I fall?” “What IF I DIE?!?”
Unfortunately, we have taken a sound piece of physical advice and accepted it as the life-and-death rule for
everything.
This contradicts a very important principle of the Big E.
Energetically, the less we fearfully focus on something - break it down, weigh its advantages and disadvantages,
or try and figure out its worth - the better off we are. Sure, looking is good when you’re buying a car, but not when
you are divinely inspired by an idea. Divine inspiration comes from a place that, oftentimes, our intellect just doesn’
t understand. Have a little faith!
When we break a divine inspiration down into what "makes sense,” we often talk ourselves out of one of the most
important aspects of creation: taking action. We let that pesky little ego come in and convince us we're not safe,
that we don't know what we're doing, and that what we're doing doesn't make sense.
Well guess what Mr. Ego? The first airplane didn’t make sense. The first automobile was laughed at! Heck, the pet
rock made no sense – and it sold millions!
So, yes; if you’re maneuvering your way across a snake-covered floor, by all means, look DOWN and watch your
step. But when it comes to inspiration, ideas, and dreams, look INSIDE, and take the plunge. Pull from that place
where all possibilities exist, and walk, leap, skip, and jump your way into the greatest joy you've ever known - the
joy of being a limitless you
